The art of dance can have a huge impact on the life of a child.
From those first tentative steps in a creative dance class to the grace and elegance of an accomplished Pointe dancer,
a child who dances..., reaps many benefits.
With fun and exercise as the major goal, instructors teach age-appropriate dance skills for those enrolled in the
Young Children’s Division, (age
2 ½ - 5).
Our Main Dance Division classes are
designed for beginners, (age
6 and up),
and students who view the participation in dance classes as a
recreational program. For the more serious students, the Dance
Academy offers our Intensive Division
classes. Students enter this program through audition or upon
the recommendation of their dance instructors.

classes are designed for an “intensive study” of
dance. Students are taught proper technique,
conditioning, terminology, music theory and history.
Dancers develop poise and grace and increase their
self- confidence. Class time increases with age and
ability.
Teachers stress a positive atmosphere
at all times and students are expected to show respect to their instructors.

| Along with a full dance education, many students at
The Dance Academy are offered the opportunity to participate in some of the finest and most challenging dance competitions in the country.
